Wow has it really been 2 weeks since my last update! I guess I better post some pictures then to make up for it :) Took Maverick to the pediatrician on Tuesday which was his 2 month mark, yay! He weighed in at 12.9 lbs, 24 in long. He did very well until the nurse gave him his shots. He got 3 on the inner thighs and one liquid one (which hurt his stomach for a couple of days poor guy). The nurse told me told hold his hands & talk to him while she gave him the shots & boy was he mad at me the rest of the day! He turned all red & cried for about 20 seconds then looked at me with a huge frown on his face, I think he was soo upset that it was just too much for him to even cry lol. He's a trooper!

Mav's been doing great lately, he's awake mostly from 6am-1pm, sleeps on & off for a couple of hours & wakes up when dad gets home for a little while then goes straight back to sleep. He has a very short attention span & needs to be entertained constantly already & I don't really know how to entertain him because he's still soo little. 7 weeks 2 days today! His swing that Grandma & Grandpa Harris bought him is the best thing ever, I don't know what I would do without it! What was I thinking not buying one?!

I'll switch from his play mat to his swing to my funny faces throughout the day to help 'stimulate his brain.' When he gets bored with one of them he'll bust out his frown & BAM his whimpering begins.

He likes me to walk around with him so he can look at everything & I mean everything! His little head & eyeballs go back & forth constantly trying to absorb everything & take everything in, it is hilarious! I think he's starting early to try & figure out what he can get into when he starts crawling & walking ;P

Maverick has reached the stage where he's used to being spoiled already so he thinks he should be held all the time. He gets very offended & upset if he is not being held, yikes what have we gotten ourselves into! If anyone has any advice on what we can do it would be greatly appreciated :) He's just so cute that I want to hold him & love him all the time, I can't help it look at him*

I think Elvis is starting to get used to the fact that Mav isn't going anywhere & that he's here for good. I think deep down he actually likes Maverick. I got a couple of snap shots of Elvis by Maverick 'guarding' him (or he just wants attention too & knows if he's by the baby he will get some well needed attention too) lol.

Mav is 6 weeks old today! Yay! It's amazing to see him grow already! He's been sneaking a few smiles* here & there which is pretty neat. He just lights up the room when he decides he wants to smile!

Mavericks now finally eating 4oz @ a time, but still sleeping every 2 hours & waking up to eat more (what have we gotten ourselves into!). He's awake more often & becoming more alert which is fun but hard on mommy because she still needs to get some sleep. I took him outside the other day & we were waiting for daddy to get home & Mav was looking all over the place with his big eyes, it was hilarious. He was looking at all the greenery & bushes & was trying to figure things out. I can't wait until he understands what things are. He's going to be one curious kid (I'm preparing myself for they constant 'why' question already).

The past couple of weeks we've had both grandparents on Luke's side come visit, yay! Had such a blast with everyone, can't wait to see everyone again!! We were able to take everyone to Oregano's (our favorite restaurant to eat in the world). Mav did a subperb job & slept the entire time. Mav has some great grandparents & we sure do love them! Thank you all again for everything, we sure do appreciate it!

Thought I would post some pics of Mav in action on his playmat. He hasn't quite discovered his hands yet but hes been trying to figure how to get a hold of the little hanging toys. He is very amused by one little rattler & very determined to figure out what it is! His arms are just so long that when he moves he ends up hitting the toys so hopefully the discovery of his arms & hands will be coming soon!

Maverick is now officially a little over a month old now, yay! I got him all dressed up in his Hurley outfit & he was super grumpy in the pictures but later on in the evening I got some good shots of him ;) I look at him every day & he is always changing & getting bigger. He has a signature grunt when he moves & stretches that is the funniest thing. He will stretch completely out & flex his little legs & feet then just fall asleep. He really enjoys being on his stomach so I try to do tummy time a couple of times a day. He's been lifting his head & looking to either side & its amazing! Then his head will clonk to the floor because he hasn't mastered the control aspect quit yet lol. Luke told me the other day Maverick has some awesome calf muscles already & I just laughed, then I looked at them closer one day & he really does have some Michael Jordan calf's on him already! Can you say Baller!

Our sweet Christmas baby!

Hi everybody! I am new to this blog thing so bear with me as I am trying to figure out what I am doing! We are blessed to have a healthy baby boy, Maverick Jackson Harris, born 12-23-08 (3.5 weeks early!) & are just so excited to have him here in our lives. He was 6lbs 11oz, 19.5in long. He is a month old finally, yay! I will try to post some pictures if I can figure it out! Love you all!
